I just got back from the music building. It was a pretty good practice. We have been working on Poets and Peasant’s for a while now, it’s been a lot of detailing but it’s really starting to pay off. That song is something like 8 minutes long, 500 bars. So there are lots and lots of details to pay attention to, from every single note to every single rest and then add on dynamics! This song has LOTS of dynamics. When they are done right it sounds awesome. For those of you not musically inclined, the dynamics are the pianos and fortes and everything in between (the feeling of the song). The other night they posted a list of songs that we will be working on in the next few months. It’s really nice to know which ones to focus on. It’s makes it a lot less painful if you do your homework ahead of time.
